A sub-forum of the 13th East Lake Forum for Young Scholars was successfully held at Kyoto University, Japan, on October 18, 2024. The event attracted promising young scholars from several leading Japanese institutions.
Professor Li Bin opened the forum by introducing Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and its strategic initiatives for attracting global talent, sparking active discussions on potential collaboration. Professor Luo Hanbin further presented the digital and intelligent research advancements at the School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering and the National Center of Technology Innovation for Digital Construction.
Launched in 2012, the East Lake Forum has become a major international platform for HUST, having engaged over 3,000 scholars from more than 30 countries and regions.
After the forum, the HUST delegation conducted a specialized research tour, studying the construction and facility management of seven Japanese universities.
