The center has made significant contributions to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games by completing three research projects since 2018:
(1) A digital twin training system was developed for sliding sports. This system includes training tools like the "Wearable Performance Dashboard" and the "Visualization Tool for Trajectory Correction."
(2) A virtual interactive guidance App was developed for major train stations. This App incorporates adaptive guidance algorithms for multi-layer spaces, enabling augmented reality-based navigation at the Beijing Badaling Great Wall Station.
(3) A large-scene modeling technology was specifically tailored for complex mountainous conditions. This modeling technology provides three-dimensional digital models to support the event organizations.
These research outputs have not only enhanced athlete training, but have also enriched passengers' travel experiences. Beyond the Olympic Games, the NCTI-DC has future plans to continue collaborating with the national team and to promote winter sports in China.
