The Digital Construction Software Lab is a collaborative initiative between NCTI-DC and Glodon Co., Ltd. Led by Mr. Langsheng YUN, the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Glodon Co., Ltd., the lab is dedicated todeveloping cutting-edge technologies for the digitalization of the construction industry. The lab will create a self-controllable, high-performance, and reliable PaaS platform, along with core software tailored to the construction sector throughout the project lifecycle.
The lab will address issues such as fragmentation, data impassability, and unclear carbon emission accounting at each project stage. With a long-term vision, the lab aspires to establish itself as a nationally renowned and internationally acclaimed innovative research base for digital construction software.
The research directions of the lab include:
(1) Developing a PaaS platform based on system engineering principles, geared towards managing digital projects holistically. This platform will utilize cloud computing technology, pioneering multi-source heterogeneous data fusion and edge-cloud integration with digital twins.
(2) Creating design and construction integration software to bridge the gap between construction and manufacturing. The lab will tackle challenges related to the lossless exchange of design, production, and construction data.
(3) Developing integrated carbon emission software, specifically tailored to green building materials and low-carbon buildings. By prioritizing carbon emissions throughout the entire building lifecycle, the lab will drive the construction industry towards low-carbon transformation.
