The Smart Steel Structure Construction Lab is a collaborative initiative between NCTI-DC and China Construction Third Bureau First Engineering Co., Ltd. Led by Mr. Jiangtao WEN, the chief engineer of China Construction Third Bureau First Engineering Co., Ltd., the lab is dedicated to advancing the national strategy in the steel structure construction sector.
The lab aims to overcome technical bottlenecks in steel structure construction by addressing four major challenges: the low level of industrialization in the steel structure system, inefficiencies in factory production lines, limited intelligence in site management, and inadequate integration of the industrial chain. It will develop a smart construction model for steel structure, which is characterized by computational power, data, and algorithms.
The main tasks of the lab include:
(1) Establishing a standardized andsmartconstruction model for the whole industrial chain of steel structure, achieving model-driven production and assembly.
(2) Improving the safety, efficiency, and accuracy of steel component production and assembly.
(3) Promoting the integrated applications of the industry Internet platform of steel structure.
(4) Showcasing the seamless coordination ofsmartand industrialized methodologies for steel structure construction.
Focusing on cutting-edge science and technology in steel structure construction, the lab will actively promote digital innovation and modernize traditional steel construction methods. Ultimately, the lab will become a world-leadingsmartsteel structure construction facility.
